Who Can See Client Data in FoodBank Manager?
FoodBank Manager (FBM) is designed to give agencies full control over their guest records while still supporting optional food bank oversight.
Data visibility is tightly controlled by private databases and user roles — ensuring that sensitive client information is never accidentally exposed to unauthorized users or agencies.
Who can see guest records by default?
Only users at your agency can view and manage your client records. These records are stored in a private database that is fully separated from other agencies.
Can other agencies see my clients?
No. Other partner agencies cannot access your client records unless you explicitly share data with them through an Association or other shared system.
By default, agency data is private.
Can the food bank see agency data?
Yes, but only if granted permission. Food banks typically have administrative access across their partner network, but access to guest details depends on your configuration.
Food banks may see depersonalized data in the data lake or direct records if account settings allow it.
What controls data visibility?
User roles and permissions (Admin, Intake, View-only, etc.)
Database access level (agency, food bank, network)
Association settings (for shared services or referrals)
Can visibility be customized?
Yes. FBM offers flexible permission structures, allowing food banks and agencies to work together while maintaining appropriate privacy boundaries.
